Basketball season is just around the corner and this season the Houston Rockets have had a complete facelift. Come join former Houston Rocket Cuttino (Cat) Mobley for his farewell party at M Bar tonight, 402 Main, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Want to experience a true legend? One of the most influential bands off all time, Van Halen, will be performing hits from their 25-year career tonight at Toyota Center, 1510 Polk. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. For more information visit www.houstontoyotacenter.com.

Looking for a place to lounge with good food and great atmosphere? Complete with live salsa band and Mexican cuisine, Taco Milagro 2555 Kirby, is sure to be a good place to spend the first days of fall.

Hair debuted as a ground-breaking and electrifying Broadway musical in 1968 and quickly became an international sensation. This is your last weekend to check out the theatrical production of Hair in Houston from Theatre Under the Stars, 800 Bagby.

Wade Robson, notable choreographer to stars Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, and 'N Sync, will be hosting a workshop Saturday at Planet Funk, 5731 Logan Lane. Classes range from $50 to $150 per class.

Robson will also hold a press conference and question and answer session about the music business afterward. Robson has also choreographed and directed national commercials for Pepsi and Gap.

Union, 202 Tuam, will be hosting “Back to The Future 2″ — featuring DJs Baby Roo, Jeff (from Boys and Girls Club), Salucema and the Cheesy Cracka Collective playing all your favorite '80s and '90s hits along with current remixes and old-school influenced tracks.

Engine Room, 1515 Pease, will be hosting the Voter Awareness Tour this Sunday with the Format, Stell Trin, Limbeck, Hellogoodbye, and Reubens Accomplice performing live. For more information visit www.engineroomhouston.net.

Although this weekend is filled with a variety of musical entertainment, don't forget to show school spirit tonight.

UH will play Miami at Reliant Stadium at 6:30 p.m. Tailgating starts at 4:30 p.m. in the Robertson Stadium parking lot as well as the Reliant Stadium parking lot.

Movie Releases this week include The Forgotten (Julianne Moore) and First Daughter (Katie Holmes).
