- UH students who want to prove their mettle for the Cougar football team are welcome to attend walk-on tryouts Feb. 24, but they first must attend a meeting at 2 p.m. Monday at the Athletic/Alumni Center.
The Cougar football program announced Monday that it will be holding its one-time Spring walk-on tryouts at 2 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Athletic/Alumni Center.
The requirements for tryouts are for the student to be enrolled in 12 or more hours at UH with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.25. The student must have at least two years of high school or junior college experience and must have at least two years of eligibility remaining.
Applicants must have two letters of recommendation, and a highlight videotape is highly recommended.
