Campus Crime Report

The following is a partial report of campus crime from Monday to Wednesday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event’s location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600.

Theft: 10:19 a.m., Monday, Melcher Hall – A UH staff member advised that someone took UH property from room 272AA of Melcher Hall approximately two weeks ago. Occurred sometime after May 8.

Assist outside agency: 11:10 a.m., Monday, Parking Garage 1 – Houston Police Department conducted an investigation where a visitor assaulted a staff member at an off campus location. Occurred Thursday at 11:10 a.m.

Criminal mischief: 10:22 a.m., Tuesday, Parking Lot 4A – A student reported the right-side window of his vehicle was shattered. There are no suspects or witnesses. Occurred between 6 p.m. May 27 and 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Theft: 7:50 am., Wednesday, Philip Guthrie Hoffman Hall – A faculty member reported that someone cut the cable lock of his unattended and secured bicycle and stole it. There are no suspects. Occurred between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
