Houston’s game against Air Force rescheduled

The location is still Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas, Texas, but kickoff for the game between Houston and Air Force has been moved to 10 a.m. from 2:30 p.m.

The Cougars and Falcons will square off on Saturday morning due to the threat of weather conditions caused by Hurricane Ike.

"We have changed the game time due to the primary concern of the safety of both teams. Taking into consideration the weather, we needed to make a decision now," UH Athletics Director Dave Maggard said in a press release.

Forecasts indicate that Ike will make landfall on the Texas coast late Friday night.

UH students will be admitted to the game with a valid CougarOne card at Gate 5 of the stadium. Those who have already purchased tickets will have designated seating and general admission tickets will be sold for $10 on game day.

Both ticket and parking vendors will accept cash only.

Television coverage of the game is pending, but the game will be broadcast on KBME-AM and live updates will be posted on The Daily Cougar’s Web site.
