Man assaults student at Bayou Oaks residence

A female student reported she was sexually assaulted on Monday in her Bayou Oaks apartment by a black male she had seen earlier that day.

The student said she met the suspect before the incident earlier on Monday at Cullen Oaks, another student residential housing complex, and again at Bayou Oaks, 5019 Calhoun Road, where she claimed the attacker forced her to have sex with him. She said he did not use a weapon.

The UH Police Department reported the attacker, whom the complainant described as a dark-complected black male with a thin beard, mustache and tattoos on both arms, is not believed to be a UH student.

The suspect is approximately 25 years old, between 5’7" and 5’8" and weighs around 160 pounds.

A police investigation is under way.
