Campus crime report
The following is a partial report of campus crime between Sunday and Tuesday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event’s location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600.
Burglary of a motor vehicle: 3:04 p.m. Sunday, Lot 6A – A student reported that someone damaged and burglarized her unattended and secured vehicle while it was parked in Lot 6A. There are no suspects or witnesses. Occurred between 3 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday.
Theft: 4:52 p.m. Sunday, Robertson Stadium – A staff member reported that someone stole her unattended and unsecured purse from a concession stand at Robertson Stadium during a soccer game. There are no suspects or witnesses. Occurred between 12:30 and 4 p.m. Sunday.
Theft and terroristic threat: 8:25 p.m. Sunday, Moody Towers – A student reported that a former friend stole his computer from his dorm room. While interviewing the suspect it was discovered the student were arguing over an event and the computer was taken as collateral. The laptop was returned, but the suspect made threats and was arrested. The suspect was transported to Harris County jail and released to the custody of deputies. Occurred between 8:15 and 8:25 p.m. Sunday.
Theft: 4:58 a.m. Sunday, Moody Towers -†An Aramark supervisor reported an employee stole money from a register while working at a Dynamo game. An investigation is under way. Occurred between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday.
Theft: 9:20 a.m. Monday, Moody Towers -†A student reported someone stole her credit card student ID from her unattended and unsecured dorm room. There were no unauthorized charges charged on the card. There are no suspects or witnesses. Occurred 8 p.m. Saturday.
Criminal mischief: 1:16 p.m., Monday, Lot 1A – A student reported that someone damaged the passenger side door lock on his vehicle which was parked in Lot 1A. There are no suspects or witnesses. Occurred between 1 p.m. Sunday and 1:15 p.m. Monday.
Theft: 3:15 p.m., Monday, Cullen Oaks Apartments -†A student reported that someone removed his unattended backpack from his room without his permission. There are no suspects or witnesses. Occurred between 8 p.m. Oct. 30 and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 3.
Failure to identify and minor in possession of alcohol: 5:01 p.m., Nov. 8, Robertson Stadium – While working a UH football game, a UHDPS officer discovered several minors in possession of alcoholic beverages. Three of the individuals initially provided false names and dates of birth. Occurred 5:15 and 6:45 p.m. Saturday.
Criminal mischief: 3:29 p.m., Nov. 11, Parking Garage 1 -†A student reported that someone broke both of the rear taillights of his vehicle while it was parked in the parking garage. There are no suspects or witnesses. Occurred between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
