Women’s Basketball – Senior forward grabs C-USA accolade

She does not usually garner the same praise as some of her teammates, but Lesslee Mason’s performance in two games last week was award winning.
Mason won the C-USA Player of the Week yesterday for her efforts against UCF and SMU.
In the two games she averaged 13 points, 10.5 rebounds and four blocks. Against UCF, she scored 14 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked three shots.
Against the Mustangs she scored 12 points, collected seven rebounds and recorded five blocks. It was the first time Mason won the award, but the sixth time this season for a UH player.
