World tour continues for former UH guard

After a brief detour to the US, guard Aubrey Coleman’s scoring abilities have him set for a return trip across the Atlantic Ocean.

Coleman signed with Pallacanestro Biella of the Italian League. Biella is a town of approximately 50,000 people and is about 50 miles away from Milan

“Goodbye US..Ciao! to Italy,” Coleman said on his Facebook.

Coleman most recently played for the Austin Toros of the NBA Developmental League. The Toros are an affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs.

Coleman played in 34 games and started in 15 of them. He averaged 13.4 points per game along with 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals a contest.

This is not Coleman’s first stint in Europe.

Before playing for the Toros, he played in Turkey for Aliaga Petkim. In nine appearances Coleman averaged 16.6 points.

He was the standout player for the Cougars during the 2009-2010 season, starting in all 35 games and averaged an NCAA-best of 25.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.

Coleman led the Cougars’ through the 2010 C-USA Tournament, guiding UH to its first bid in the NCAA Tournament since 1993.
