Former UH standouts catch on overseas with pro teams in Spain
After having two of the most illustrious careers in UH history, former Cougars Brittney Scott and Courtney Taylor may need to brush up on their Spanish-speaking skills.
Both players signed with teams in the Spanish league. Taylor signed with AG.DVA. Baloncestes Aviles, and Scott signed with Ourense.
“I’ve been playing basketball all of my life, so to get to this level and achieve another goal, it feels really good,” Scott said in a release.
The two are fresh off of leading the Cougars to a 26-6 overall record (16-0 Conference USA), and a regular-season conference championship. Taylor finished her career as the all-time UH leader in rebounds and double-doubles. Scott made the most 3-pointers in program history with 226.
