Individual dies in Cullen Oaks

At 1:52 p.m., Miesha Moore, general manager of Cullen Oaks Apartments, sent out an email to Cullen Oaks residents saying that a person had died in the apartment complex.
The case is being investigated as a potential suicide, the email said. Students should not consider this a threat to their safety.
The deceased was not a UH student, according to Richard Bonnin, executive director of Media Relations.
“All indications were that the individual took his own life,” Bonnin said.
The name of the individual has not been released and an investigation is still being conducted.
Correction: The headline was updated at 6:18 p.m. to reflect the fact that the individual was not a UH student.
