At 10:30 p.m., University of Houston Department of Public Safety sent out an email saying that the UH Police Department received a report of a possible armed individual at the Recreation and Wellness Center, and advised on-campus students to shelter in place.

At 10:52 p.m., police issued an “all clear.”

After evacuating the Recreation and Wellness Center, UHPD said officers found the building to be “clear of any sign of danger.”

There is no suspect description at this time, the email said.

No further details are being released at the moment, UHPD said.
