Former UH star running back Charles Sims, who was released from the University last week, will be allowed to transfer to another school, but not without a few conditions, the Houston Chronicle reported.
Sims, who was projected to be a big part of the Cougars’ offense in 2013, will not be allowed transfer to any other Texas university or any other school within the Cougar’s new conference, the American Athletic Conference.
Sims is still undecided on where he plans to take his talents. Another option for Sims is to wait it out to boost his stock for the NFL supplemental draft this summer. According to NFLDraftScout.com, Sims is currently the fifth-best prospect at the running back position for the draft.
“We appreciate and thank Charles for his hard work and contributions to our program during the last four years,” said UH head coach Tony Levine in a statement. “We wish him and his family all the best.”
