The University will be testing the fire alarm systems in the University Center. The tests are required for approval of occupation in the new and renovated spaces of the UC.
The tests will begin today and end on Nov. 30.
“Please expect that we will experience multiple alarms each day during testing periods,” said Program Coordinator Beverly Garcia in an email to UC Community Members. “During identified testing periods when alarms and visual strobes are activated, building occupants and users will not be required to evacuate the University Center unless instructed that there is a real fire.”
