UH Baseball will join those elite programs such as Louisville, Vanderbilt, Texas, Wichita State and Oregon across the nation who have taken the next step in developing the importance and likeability of an artificial turf playing surface in collegiate baseball. | Esteban Portillo\The Daily Cougar

The construction of a new full artificial playing surface on Cougar Field has been underway since Nov. 13. After the baseball program received commitments of over $2.2 million from the Dugout Club and Coaches Committee, UH’s baseball fundraising programs allowed updates to the field, clubhouse and other facilities, and construction began.
