The construction of a new full artificial playing surface on Cougar Field has been underway since Nov. 13. After the baseball program received commitments of over $2.2 million from the Dugout Club and Coaches Committee, UH’s baseball fundraising programs allowed updates to the field, clubhouse and other facilities, and construction began.
“As we work to recruit the top student athletes to join our program, it is exciting to enhance Cougar Field to compete on a national level. Our coaches and our student athletes in all our sports programs deserve the very best facilities, and we are pleased to continue this mission for our baseball program,” said Athletics Director Mack Rhoades.
