Three-alarm building fire blocks Cullen entrance


 

A three-alarm building fire broke out at 4101 Gulf Freeway and Cullen Blvd. around 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 13. The abandoned building, formerly Magnolia Glen Retirement Community, is located next to Fingers Furniture and less than 0.1 mile away from campus.

Entrances to campus from I-45 North and I-45 South to Cullen Blvd. were blocked by Houston Fire Department Houston Police Department first-responders, but have since been cleared. The Spur 5 entrance to campus is also accessible.
