Crime Report: Oct. 13 to Oct. 19

The following is a partial report of campus crime that occurred between Oct. 13 and Sunday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Department of Public Safety. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UH DPS at 713-743-3333 or [email protected].

Oct. 13 

Theft: A student reported her unsecured cell phone stolen at the Agnes Arnold Auditorium. The case is active, pending new information.

Theft: A student reported her wallet and keys stolen at the Cullen Oaks Apartments. The case is active, pending new information.

Terroristic Threat: Two students reported a man wield a brown firearm at them during a verbal altercation. The case is active.

Oct. 14 

Theft: A student reported her unsecured laptop computer stolen at the M.D. Anderson Memorial Library. The case is active, pending new information.

Criminal Trespass: Two unaffiliated individuals were on campus soliciting. UHPD found the two individuals who did not have permission to be on campus. They were issued campus-wide trespass warnings. The case is active.

Oct. 15

Assault: UH dispatch received a call about an unaffiliated individual assaulting a student at the Cullen Oaks Grounds. The case was referred to the Harris County Attorney’s office. The case is active.

Criminal Mischief: A student reported someone had intentionally scratched her vehicle at the Welcome Center Garage. The case is active.

Theft: A Fresh Food Company employee reported food theft from the cafeteria at Moody Towers. The case is active.

Oct. 16

Theft: A student reported his unsecured cell phone stolen at the Technology Building. The case is active, pending new information.

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle: A student reported someone had damaged and bulgarized her secured vehicle on the Lot 16B parking lot. The case is active.

Assault: A student reported she was assaulted by a known person. The case is active.

Oct. 17

Theft: A student reported her unsecured purse stolen at the M.D. Anderson Library. The case is active pending new information.

Oct. 18

Assault: A student reported he was assaulted while he was watching the football game at TDECU Stadium. There is one lead and one suspect; the case is active, pending new information.

Assault: An unaffiliated individual reported she was physically assaulted by a known person. The Harris County District Attorney Office was contacted, but refused to press charges.

Oct. 19

Panhandling: An unaffiliated person was caught panhandling near the M.D. Anderson Library. The individual was caught and issued a campus-wide trespassing warning; he was escorted off campus. The case is active, pending new information.

Theft: A student reported their secured bicycle stolen at the Cullen Oaks Parking Garage. The case is active, pending new information.
