UH capped off its Homecoming week with an American Athletic Conference matchup against Tulane on Saturday afternoon, but fell 31-24 to the Green Wave at TDECU Stadium. It was the Cougars’ third consecutive loss on Homecoming.
Green Wave defenders kept the Cougars’ potent running attack from breaking off big runs as they did so often during the Cougars’ recent three-game win streak. Ryan Jackson rushed for only 19 yards on five carries, and UH netted a total of just 90 rush yards on 2.8 yards per carry in its 31-24 defeat to Tulane on Saturday at TDECU Stadium. | Jimmy Moreland/The Cougar
