Free HIV testing offered in honor of World Aids Day

The UH Health Center is offering free HIV testing on Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in honor of World AIDS Day, which has beenĀ held on Dec. 1 each year since 1988 and is used as a way of uniting people worldwide to help fight HIV. The testing will be available to all UH students, faculty and staff. No appointment is necessary.

All testing can either be done anonymously or confidentially. A picture ID is required for confidentialĀ testing and allows the patient to obtain a copy of their test results, which will be added to their medical record at the Health Center. Anonymous testers will not be able to obtain a copy of their test results and their results will be shredded after the patient has seen them. Patients do not need to provide any form of identification in order to be tested anonymously.
