Crime Report: Feb. 16 to 26

The following is a partial report of campus crime that occurred between Feb. 16 and 26. All information is selected from the files of the UH Department of Public Safety. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UH DPS at 713-743-3333 or [email protected].

Feb. 16:

Burglary of a Motor Vehicle: A student reported someone broke into her secured vehicle at the Cullen Oaks garage. The case is active.

Theft: A student reported his unsecured USB flash drive stolen at the College of Technology. The case is active pending new information.

Feb. 17:

Terroristic Threat: A staff member reported she received an alarming phone call at the Ezekiel Cullen building. The case is active.

Theft: A contractor reported her secured vehicle stolen at the Energy Research Parking lot. The case is active.

Feb. 18:

Stalking: A student reported her family members stalking her at Moody Towers. The family members have been warned in the past to leave the student alone and were issued campus Criminal Trespass warnings. The case is active pending new information.

Criminal Trespass: Nine unaffiliated individuals were issued campus criminal trespass warnings after they were seen on campus without a legitimate purpose. The case is active.

Theft: A student reported his unsecured cell phone stolen at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. The case is active.

Assault: A student reported four men in a dark-colored vehicle shot him with a paintball gun near Taco Cabana. Although the student decided not to make a report, the case is active.

Feb. 19:

Theft: Members of a fraternity reported that a known individual had been making unauthorized charges from the organization’s bank account. The case is active.

Feb. 20:

Burglary of a building or habitation: A student reported someone stole money from her apartment at Cullen Oaks. The case is active pending new information.

Feb. 21:

Burglary of a motor vehicle/criminal mischief: Two visitors reported that their secured vehicles were broken into. One of the vehicles had items taken from it, while the other did not. The incident occurred in the 16E parking lot. The case is active pending new information.

Aggravated Robbery: Two students reported being robbed at gunpoint in the front entrance of Cougar Place. The case is active.

Feb. 24:

Burglary of a motor vehicle/credit or debit card abuse: A staff member reported someone burglarized her unsecured vehicle and stole a diaper bag near the Cameron building. The case is active pending new information.

Theft: A contract worker reported money stolen from his wallet after it was lost and recovered at the Student Center. The case is active.

Theft: A student reported her unsecured textbook stolen near the Athletic Alumni building. The case is active.

Theft: A student reported her cell phone stolen at the Bayou Oaks Grounds. The case is active pending new information.

Feb. 25:

Theft/Credit or debit card abuse: A student reported someone stole her wallet near the School of Music and made unauthorized charges on her credit card. The case is active.

Feb. 26:

Theft: A student reported someone stole her unsecured cell phone at Calhoun Lofts. The case is active.
