UH has hired Lisa German as the new Dean of University Libraries, Provost Paula Myrick Short said in an email to faculty and staff Thursday.
Previously, German was an associate dean for Collections, Information and Access Services at The Pennsylvania State University and has received awards from both Penn State and the University of Illinois.
German will also serve as the chair for the Elizabeth D. Rockwell center.
German received her bachelor’s in history and her master’s in Library Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
