UH adds nursing program, enrollment begins in the fall

A new nursing program has been approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, confirmed by President and Chancellor Renu Khator via Twitter.

The program, which was located at UH-Victoria, will give UH the capacity to build doctoral and research programs in nursing, further cementing UH’s Tier One status, according to a presentation given by Khator to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

The integration of the nursing program would also allow courses that are already established, such as pharmacy and optometry, to collaborate with one another on research opportunities through the University.

Student currently enrolled in the nursing program through UH-Victoria would pay the same tuition and fees that they are currently paying once the program moves to UH.

EXCEPT they are 120 miles away from the program!
