Junior hurdler Issac Williams placed third in the final round of the 110m hurdles at the NCAA Championships on Friday in Eugene, Ore., earning him a bronze.

Williams ran with a time of 13.31 – a new personal best for him – to secure third in the event.

Williams placed first at the American Athletic Conference Championships this year during the indoor season in the 60m hurdles and the outdoor season in the 110m hurdles.

Williams also qualified for the NCAA Championships in both seasons, taking third in this outdoor season.

Williams garnered high praise for his performance in both the indoor and outdoor seasons, earning AAC Track Athlete of the Week four times this year and earning honors as an All-American following the event today, capping a record-breaking year.

Houston track & field wraps their season today at the NCAA Championships when senior Brittany Kinney competes in the preliminary rounds for the triple jump final.
