The women’s golf team will begin play at its final regular season event of the season at the Clemson Invitational starting on Friday.

The Cougars will roll into the event as winners of two of their last three events where they participated as a team, earning top finishes at both the University of Central Florida Challenge and the University of North Florida Collegiate, while also earning a seventh place finish at the LSU Tiger Classic.

This past weekend, the Cougars sent three golfers to the HBU Husky Invitational to compete as individuals where redshirt freshman Kailey Collier earned a tie for 11th place at her first event as a member of the Cougar squad.

In their last team outing at the LSU Tiger Classic, the Cougars finished seventh in a field of 17 total teams, including nine ranked teams.

Senior Raegan Bremer had the best finish for the Cougars, finishing +12 over par in a tie for 14th place, while freshman Leonie Harm finished just one stroke behind her at +13 over par to finish tied for 20th.

Of the six teams who finished ahead of the Cougars, five of them were ranked, including the No. 3 and No. 4 ranked teams in the nation.

The Cougars will tee off in Sunset, South Carolina on Friday and play through Sunday. After that, the team heads to Palm Coast, Florida for the American Athletic Conference Championships which start on April 17.
