Clinton must win today for future’s sake
Today is probably one of the most important days of your life, and it’s only a Tuesday.
Please excuse the cliche. After you stop rolling your eyes, consider what is at risk this Election Day.
Forget party loyalty for a second and consider what the next four years will be like with each candidate as president. Be honest with yourself, the country’s outlook becomes much brighter under Hillary Clinton.
Are you graduating college and jumping into the workforce? Did your wife just give birth? Or are you just a student trying to make ends meet? Regardless of your situation, it’s important you realize that Donald Trump is not the answer.
The crazy part is that some, if not most of you, will think of Benghazi, emails and even a body double when you think of why Clinton is also not the answer. If you think this way, you are in denial or just don’t care to read and understand the facts.
The Benghazi attacks that resulted in the death of four Americans was a tragedy, but to directly blame Clinton is wrong.
The House Select Committee on Benghazi, which was basically a Republican task force, conducted one of the longest investigations in history and found no evidence of culpability by Clinton. The report also acknowledges that U.S. military forces could not have reached the Benghazi compounds in time to rescue the four brave men that died.
Clinton still takes responsibility, however, which is another unknown fact about the investigation.
“I take responsibility,” Clinton said to CNN. “I’m in charge of the State Department’s 60,000-plus people all over the world, 275 posts.”
The Benghazi attack could have been avoided. There is plenty of blame to go around, but blaming Clinton for this would be like blaming George W. Bush or Colin Powell for the deaths of over 4,000 soldiers who died in the unneccessary Iraq war.
The email issue has again proven to be nothing more than a mistake by Clinton and her camp, yet people still treat her like she committed a crime.
Don’t let these falsehoods sway you from voting for Clinton.
From the beginning of this campaign, Clinton has had to fight off a label of being an evil politician who will do anything to get elected. I hate to break it to you, but I just described every politician who has ever run for public office, Trump included.
Sure, Clinton has flip-flopped on issues, made bad decisions while serving the public and sometimes doesn’t seem genuine, it is nothing compared to what we have seen Trump did over the last 600 days.
Still, people think that she is just as bad as him.
His number one goal has been to win no matter what lies he has to tell. Rally after rally, he lied to the face of his supporters and the country watching at home. People eat his words up.
It’s time to show Trump and his supporters that we are not just voting for president. We are voting for the kind of country that we want to be a part of.
