Campus Crime Report

The following is a partial report of campus crime between Thursday and Wednesday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event’s location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600.

Theft: 7:58 a.m., Thursday, Science ‘ Research 1 – A UH staff member reported that someone took a desk drawer key from an office located in S ‘ R 1. There are no suspects. Occurred between 4 a.m. May 23 and 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

Motor vehicle theft: 6:12 p.m., Thursday, Lot 20A – A UH staff member reported that someone stole his unattended and secured vehicle from parking lot 20A. There are no suspects or witnesses. Occurred between 8:50 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday.

Theft: 12:16 p.m., Friday, Welcome Center – A student reported that someone stole her iPod, which was in her possession at McAlister’s in the Welcome Center. An investigation is under way. Occurred between 5 and 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Criminal mischief: 1:16 p.m., Friday, Bayou Oaks Apartments – Management at Bayou Oaks reported that someone shattered the right-side, lower-left windowpane of Townhouse No. 11. There are no suspects. Occurred between 9 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Assault: 4:23 p.m., Friday, Hofheinz Pavilion – A South Houston graduation attendee was involved in a verbal altercation after her husband’s ex-wife hit her. There are witnesses. No charges were filed. Occurred between 4:15 p.m. and 4:23 p.m. Friday.

Criminal mischief: 8:12 a.m., Friday, Garrison Gymnasium – A staff member said that someone entered a Garrison Gymnasium classroom and attempted to steal an overhead projector. There are no suspects. Occurred between 5 a.m. Friday and 8:12 a.m. Tuesday.
