Five Minutes of Fame: Junior juggles juries, justifies journey

Hannah Eastham: The end of the semester is in view, do you have any plans for the summer?

Bethany Johns: Not really, just spend some time with my family and sleep a little.

Eastham: You probably won’t sleep any during finals. Are you nervous about finals?

Johns: Not yet. I get nervous when they are about a week away.

Eastham: What finals are you going to have?

Johns: Theory and then my juries.

Eastham: Is that music theory?

Johns: Yeah, piano theory. My juries are for piano too.

Eastham: Is it all for one class?

Johns: No, theory is one class. My juries are like a recital.

Eastham: What are you going to play?

Johns: I don’t know yet.

Eastham: When will you know?

Johns: I am going to practice and see what my professor thinks before I decide.

Eastham: Is this your first year for juries?

Johns: No, this is my second

Eastham: How did (the last time) go??

Johns: Um, I was really nervous.

Eastham: So this time should be easier.

Johns: I don’t know. I tend to get pretty nervous for things.

Eastham: How would you say the semester has been on a whole?

Johns: It’s been good. I’ve been busy.

Eastham: What all do you do?

?Johns: I’m in SGA – I’m a senator. I also did Frontier Fiesta.

Eastham: What did you with that?

?Johns: I was the Director of Cook Off.

?Eastham: Did you get to eat a lot of good food?

Johns: No I didn’t. I was running all over the place. Well, walking.

Eastham: Did you enjoy it though?

Johns: Yeah. I hope to do it next year.

Eastham: What do you plan to do after school?

Johns: I don’t know yet.

Eastham: Do you think you’ll go back?

Johns: I don’t know. I would like to travel.

Eastham: Where would you like to go??

Johns: I would like to go to Europe. I would love to see Spain, or I would like to go see my mom’s family in Mexico.

Eastham: What part of Mexico??

Johns: Central Mexico.

Eastham: Would you ever consider moving back?

?Johns: Oh, yes.
