The following is a partial report of campus crime between Sept. 23 and Tuesday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics indicates when the event was reported to UHPD and the event’s location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD at (713) 743-0600.
Disorderly conduct: 1:02 p.m., Sept. 23, Welcome Center – A student reported that a man was disorderly to her while she waited for a parking space in the Welcome Center parking garage. The man pulled up behind her, started blowing his horn and then walked up to her vehicle and proceeded to call her obscene names while trying to grab her through the open window. An investigation is under way. Occurred at 1 p.m. Sept 23.
Assault: 12:41 a.m., Thursday, the Moody Towers – Two students assaulted another student. The victim did request to file charges. The students were arrested and issued Student Life Referrals and released to Harris County Jail. Occurred between 12:35 a.m. and 12:41 a.m. Thursday.
Assault/domestic violence: 1:22 a.m., Sunday, Cullen Oaks Apartments – A student was assaulted by two known suspects inside her Cullen Oaks apartment. The student was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The two suspects were arrested and sent to Harris County Jail.
Assault: 12:15 a.m., Sunday, Lot 9A – A student said she was assaulted in Lot 6A by an unknown black female following an off campus verbal altercation. An investigation is under way. Occurred between 12:15 a.m. and 12:25 a.m. on Monday.
Public intoxication: 7:39 p.m., Monday Lot 4A – A visitor was observed, by a security officer, walking, acting erratically, unable to maintain his balance and walking in a moving lane of traffic. The visitor was approached and determined to be intoxicated. The visitor was unaware of his location or how he arrived on UH property. The visitor was arrested for public intoxication and transported to Harris County Jail. Occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 7:41 p.m. on Monday.
