Students on track to a degree in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics will have a chance to ask questions and share their concerns with college Dean John Bear and other administrators at today’s Town Hall meeting.
"We do this to keep the pulse of our student body and to also provide them information of our college goals, available resources and new college initiatives," Dawnelle Prince-Parks, director of recruitment for the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, said.
Not only will this meeting give students an opportunity to ask questions, but will also discuss what events are on the horizon for NSM students. The purpose of this event is to give the faculty a chance to update students on future plans and events taking place within the college," Prince-Parks said.
This open forum allows students, professors, deans and associate deans to come together and participate in an open panel discussion.
The president of the NSM College will kick off the meeting, and end with an open-panel for deans, senators and professors to answer any questions students may have. NSM Senators and guest speakers are scheduled to address the students as well.
The Student Government Association and College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics partnered to host the annual Natural Sciences and Mathematics Town Hall. The meeting will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. today in Science and Research Building 1 and in the Engineering Classroom Building.
Free pizza and soda will be provided at the meeting.
