The following is a partial report of campus crime between Nov. 12 and Wednesday. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. Theft: 12:54 p.m., Nov. 12, Bayou Oaks Apartments -†A student reported someone stole his unsecured and unattended Blackberry cell phone from Bayou Oaks Townhouse 1. There are no suspects. Occurred before 2 a.m. Nov. 8.
Traffic offense: 4:25 p.m., Nov. 13, Bayou Oaks Apartments – A student reported someone struck her unattended vehicle at Bayou Oaks and failed to leave the proper information. Occurred between 4 p.m. Nov. 12 and 10: 15 a.m. Nov. 13.
Public intoxication and consumption of alcohol by a minor: 1:48 a.m., Friday, Bayou Oaks Apartments – Security personnel observed a student at Bayou Oaks showing visible signs of impairment caused by alcohol consumption. The student received a Harris County citation for consumption of alcohol by a minor and a Student Life Referral. Officers released the student to his parents. Occurred between 1:45 and 1:52 a.m. Friday.
Criminal trespass: 2:32 a.m., Friday, Cullen Oaks Apartments – A UH Downtown student, who resides at Cullen Oaks Apartments, reported that a former boyfriend might have unlawfully entered her apartment and left miscellaneous items behind. No property was reported stolen. An investigation is under way. The incident occurred between 9:36 a.m. Nov. 14.
Recovered stolen vehicle: 2:24 a.m., Friday, 4400 Wheeler Street -†A reportedly stolen motor vehicle was recovered by UH Department of Public Safety at the 4400 block of Wheeler. The vehicle was unoccupied. Occurred between 2:24 and 2:26 a.m. Nov. 14.
Forgery: 9:16 a.m., Friday, Campus Recreation and Wellness Center – A UH retail establishment reported receiving two counterfeit $20 bills in the course of doing business. There is no video evidence. An investigation is under way. Occurred between 8:30 a.m. Nov. 5 and 9:45 a.m. Nov. 7.
Damage to property: 4:22 p.m., Friday, Entrance 1 – A student struck a UH statue while driving an Aramark van. Insurance information was provided. Occurred between 1 and 1:20 p.m. Nov. 3.
Graffiti: 3:17 p.m. Monday, Heyne Building – Someone committed the offense of graffiti by carving works on a UH restroom stall. There are no witnesses or suspects. Occurred between 3 and 3:17 p.m. Monday.
Indecent exposure: 1:12 p.m., Tuesday, M.D. Anderson Library -†A student reported that, while studying, she saw a man masturbating in an aisle of book stacks. There are no suspects. Occurred at 10 a.m. Monday.
