What is biodynamic wine and how will this new technique affect your romantic dining? Taste for yourself at the Conrad N. Hilton College’s lecture about this up-and-coming viniculture technique.
Premier wine expert Antonio Gianolo, Houston Press’ "Best Sommelier" of 2005, will present Ancient Methods, New Possibilities, a two-hour-long lecture on the new technique at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 in the University Hilton, Conrad Hilton Ballroom.
Gianolo uncovered the growing popularity of biodynamic viniculture during his travels to famous vineyards across the world and in his work in Houston’s finest restaurants.
Biodynamic agriculture emphasizes the use of organic materials found in local ecosystems instead of man-made chemicals, such as pesticides and artificial fertilizers. Proponents of biodynamic agriculture say the result is a wine that reflects the character of its nascent vineyards, but taste for yourself at the lecture’s free sampling of the world’s most delectable biodynamic wines.
