I doubt many students have ever seen an old fashion hardware store; have no idea about the sad history of a segment of the population of Vidor, Texas and think of organized community violence against AA Blacks and intellectuals as something that happened before their parents were born.
Sometimes political satire needs a paragraph or two of explanation even for those who are part of a community of scholars.

It will be wise for the paper to cease any furtherance about this item until Black Americans can divorce these hurts, injustices, and hatred.

The History of "Rope Hanging" Black Americans is a sensitive issue. I find it hard to believe that people don't understand the humilation and racism in our culture. The university should be a place where all cultures are expressed, and people are freed from remainders of oppressions.
