Forward Courtney Taylor and guards Brittney Scott and Porsche Landry earned spots on the All-Conference USA first team Sunday.
The trio accounted for three of the top four scoring leaders in C-USA, with Scott leading the conference at 16.3 points per game. This was Scott’s first selection to the C-USA first team.
For Taylor, this was her third consecutive selection to the first team, as she averaged a double-double for the season. She was third in C-USA in scoring at 15.9 points per game, and first in rebounding with 11.5 boards per contest. Her 59 career double-doubles are the best total in UH history, and the third highest total for a C-USA player. Taylor also earned All-Defensive team honors.
Landry earned her first selection with a breakout season running first-year head coach Todd Buchanan’s up-tempo offense. Landry was fourth in the conference in scoring with 14.9 points per game and also ranked in the top 10 in C-USA in assists with 3.9 a game, and a 77 percent free-throw percentage.
This marked the 11th consecutive season that a UH player was named to the first team.
The C-USA specialty awards will be announced today.
