The Cougars fell from 10th place to a tie for 12th place with Kansas after the final round of the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, La on Tuesday.
UH had a team total of 893 points. Illinois won the tournament.
Jesse Droemer tied for 12th in the individual competition with 218 points.
