Men’s Basketball – Former Cougars to honor legendary coach

As a coach, Guy Lewis took UH to five Final Fours, putting the University in a tie for the eighth-most appearances. He was at the helm of the program from 1956-1986, recording 592 wins.
His efforts will be celebrated Friday at the John O’Quinn Great Hall in the Athletics/Alumni Center.
Among the guests will be former players Otis Birdsong, Clyde Drexler, Elvin Hayes and Michael Young, among others.
Tickets are available to the public for $5, and can be bought at www.houstonalumni.com. The event starts at 11:30 a.m.
