Sophomore Will Dusenbury and freshman Curtis Reed were recognized by Conference USA on Monday.
Dusenbury transferred from Dallas Baptist in January, and was named Newcomer of the Year. In seven tournaments he had a scoring average of 73.86, with six rounds of par or better.
“Will did a tremendous job for us,” head coach Jonathan Dismuke said in a release. “He came in at a crucial time for us and had a solid semester. Will gave us some much-needed depth that we were lacking. This is just the first of more postseason honors for him.”
Curtis Reed earned a place on the C-USA All Freshman Team, after tying for fifth in the C-USA tournament and accumulating a scoring average of 73.76. Reed had 12 rounds of par or better.
“We had high expectations for Curtis coming in, and he came in and has met and exceeded many of those,” Dismuke said.” He is a great student-athlete and a great ambassador for the University of Houston.”
