Case up for top QB honors tonight on ESPN

Senior quarterback Case Keenum is among the finalists competing for the highest awards in college football tonight during The Home Depot College Football Awards Show at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

Keenum is one of three finalists for the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award with Baylor’s Robert Griffin III and Stanford’s Andrew Luck.

Keenum leads the nation with 5,099 passing yards and 45 touchdowns against just five interceptions, and owns the NCAA’s third best quarterback rating at 177.9.

Griffin III leads the NCAA in quarterback rating of 192.3, breaking former Boise State quarterback Ryan Dinwiddle’s previous single-season high of 188.2 set in 2002. Griffin III has thrown for 36 touchdowns and run for nine more. He has completed 72.4 percent of his passes for 3,998 yards.

Luck has completed 70 percent of his passing attempts for 3,170 yards and 35 touchdowns against nine interceptions.
