Head coach Kevin Sumlin told players during a team meeting today that he will be leaving UH.
ESPN reports that Sumlin is leaving for Texas A&M. Terms of the potential deal have not been disclosed.
Associate head coach, special teams coordinator and inside-receivers coach Tony Levine will function as the interim head coach and coach the Cougars in the TicketCity Bowl against Penn State on Jan. 2.
A press conference with Athletics Director Mack Rhoades and Levine will be held today at 4 p.m.

Get rid of the football team and concentrate on basketball. Make the basketball arena the best in the conference (Big East) and use the stadium money on, say, a new state of the art library instead.
