Kansas City Community College point guard Brandon Morris will join the Cougars as the fourth member of its 2012 recruiting class.
“We are thrilled to have Brandon join our Cougar family. He is an explosive lead guard with great court vision,” Dickey said. “He can defend as well as score. Brandon will add experience to our backcourt.”
Last season as a sophomore, Morris, 6-0, averaged 16.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists and three steals per game in 31 games for the Devils.
Morris visited the campus last weekend.
“I had a great feel for the coaches and I wanted to be closer to home,” Morris said.
Morris is from Alexandria, La. and chose UH over Seton Hall, Mississippi State and Missouri State.
The Cougars will have one scholarship remaining that they will most likely use on another post player.
Great pick up!
Coogs basketball is about to finish off a top 10 class in the nation for basketball. Moving into the best conference in basketball and on the verge of having basically a new arena things are really looking good. We need to fill Hofheinz next season to support these guys and give our team the helop they need to be a national power again.
Awesome!
Good work Josh.
