Police: female student assaulted on Scott Street

A UH student told police she was attacked at around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday while at the Chevron gas station at Elgin and Scott Street.

She said she was approached by three men in ski masks and forced behind the station, where the men attempted to sexually assault her, said UH Department of Public Safety officials in a security alert Wednesday.

The student successfully fought off the attackers, who fled the scene, officials said.

  • damn – it took her 4 hours to report??
i always shake my head at the students i see running over around scott. not a good area.
glad she fought them off. hooah

  • I'm glad she got away. We must remember that students do live in the area and will try to go to establishments that are close by them. The university itself is not in a good area, so no matter where you are there is risk of crime. I'm sure this poor girl had to get herself together before calling the police.
