UH will host a symposium titled “Immigration and the Immigrant Experience: Houston and Beyond” from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday in Agnes Arnold Hall and Farish Hall.
The first section will feature panel presentations over topics including establishing community, communication, medical issues, women and children, music and literature and a presentation titled “Diverse Approaches to Immigration: Narrative, Politics and Theory,” according to a press release.
The symposium will also host speakers from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
