Nice photos. I may want to do the same thing this Saturday. A better season would have left a very good memory at the last minute at Robertson Stadium. So sad…
I hate to see the Rob go, but I think our future demands a better facility and the cost to even begin to try to renovate Rob would be prohibitive. We will always have the memories, and can look forward to a bright future in the new facility!
I too am sad to see the old Rob go. We old timers called it Jeppesen Stadium. I ran intramural track there, went to concerts there, and very much enjoyed watching the Coogs play there in the later years. It was so much better than watching Cougar games at the Astrodome. That said, I am really looking forward to the new stadium at the same location. The university made the right decision to keep Football right there on campus.
Go COOGS!
Will the Daily Cougar have a demolition/construction cam up over the site chronicle the project
Robertson was a dump when they left my favorite the Astrodome, and even with the many improvements– It’s still a dump. Can’t tear it down fast enough
