Texans change uniforms for a good cause

A number of Texans players traded in their uniforms for aprons Monday at the fourth annual Owen Daniels’ Catching Dreams Foundation.

Daniels hosted the Celebrity Waiter Night at Del Frisco’s to help raise money for his foundation. There, he and teammates like Matt Schaub and Arian Foster serve a four-course meal and fine wine to a plethora of customers.

The intention for this foundation is more than just to serve meals; its goal is to raise money for critically ill children throughout the Greater Houston with daily support and life changing experiences.

After the dinner, bids that included Texans memorabilia, vacation trips and other luxury items, all of which also went toward the foundation, were auctioned off:

Foster’s autographed jersey sold for $1,500.

An autographed helmet from Matt Schaub sold for $1,400

An autographed J.J. Watt jersey sold for $2,300
