UH announced home-and-home agreements between Texas Tech, Kansas and Texas State on Wednesday.
The Cougars entered a four-year agreement with Texas Tech. It already has a two-year agreement with Kansas and Texas State.
“We are committed to scheduling quality programs in series that reward our fans with those teams traveling to Houston as well,” said Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Mack Rhoades. “With our passionate fan base and soon-to-be-completed stadium, the University of Houston offers an exciting college football atmosphere.”
The series against Texas Tech begins with a home game on Sept. 16, 2017, and continues with a second visit of the Red Raiders to Houston on Sept. 18, 2021. The Cougars will travel to Lubbock on Sept. 15, 2018 and Sept. 10, 2022.
The two-season series against Kansas begins on Sept. 14, 2019 at UH, before the Cougars travel to face the Jayhawks on Sept. 12, 2020.
The deal with Texas State includes a home game on Sept. 26, 2015 and a return game on Sept. 13, 2016 in San Marcos.
