Here are the two games you shouldn’t miss.
NCAA
No. 23 Arizona State at No. 5 Stanford
Stanford has been one of the most consistent teams in college football for the last five seasons. The team plays football the old-fashioned way, or at least it has in the past. Stanford wants to run the ball down your throat and win the time-of-possession battle, not turn the ball over and hit you in your jaw on defense, while Arizona State likes to spread its defenses out and score a lot of points. This game is a clash of styles that makes for compelling television.
Stanford has more talent, but Arizona State’s multitude of weapons will make for a tough clash.
NFL
Indianapolis Colts at San Fransisco 49ers
What an elevated game this has become. At first, this was going to be 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s redemption game against quarterback Andrew Luck and his resurgent Colts, but the blockbuster trade of the NFL season has made this a premiere game. Trent Richardson, the two-time BCS national champion, is now the running back for the Colts, giving the Colts their biggest backfield threat since former running back Edgerrin James left for Arizona.
The Niners are coming off a loss while the Colts just made an interesting addition. This game should be interesting to watch.
