The Student Government Association is accepting applications to recommend students for governor appointment to a non-voting student representative position on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and a non-voting student regent position to the UH System.
The mission of the board is “to work closely with policymakers and education stakeholders to develop and implement a higher education framework focused on initiatives to dramatically increase the number of post-secondary completions, keep college affordable and accessible for all Texans and align higher education outcomes with current and future workforce needs,” according to the THECB site.
Applications should be sent to SGA by Wednesday. The position’s term will begin on June 1, 2014 and end on May 31, 2015.
