Suspects charged in armored car robbery

Four men have been arrested and charged by the FBI in response to the investigation of the armored car robbery that occurred around 8 a.m. December 6 in front of the University Center, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The men allegedly coerced the driver out of the the Loomis armored van and drove away with the contents of over $4 million dollars.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the men charged include James Van-Gerald Johnson, Dezmond Lacraig Edwards, Ronald Dean Richards, and Allen Bernard Roundtree.

The suspects left the ransacked armored car in an on-campus parking garage. From there, they drove to the nearby Planned Parenthood, where the money was transferred to another getaway vehicle.

It was originally thought that there were three suspects.

  • Disgusting that fine Black men are being arrested by the racist police. Hopefully an honorable Black lawyer will take the case and give these men the representation they deserve.
