A run-off election will pit REDvolution and The “We” Party presidential slates against each other during an extended week of campaigning and voting.
A total of 2,806 votes were cast for the presidential ballots, but none of the candidates were able to capture a majority, at least 51% of the votes, resulting in a run-off. REDvolution and The “We” Party were separated by 243 ballots.
Undergraduate-at-large senate seats #1 and #2 will also be voted on during the run-off elections. Sebastian Agudelo of REDvolution and Sterling Dodd of The “We” Party are competing for the first seat. Mohammad “Moe” Elsaadi of REDvolution and Independent candidate Chelsea Moses are running for the second seat.
Campaigning will start March 1 at 12 a.m. and end March 6 at 7:30 p.m. Run-off elections will be March 5 and 6 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
