Retail company Goedeker’s is now offering an annual textbook scholarship in the form of an essay contest.
“A college education is an important part of a bright future — not only for the individual student, but for their family, their community and their country,” said company owner Steve Goedeker in a prepared statement.
All students enrolled in an accredited college during Spring 2014 with a GPA of at least 3.0 is eligible to apply at goedekers.com/college-scholarship.
One applicant will receive $500, and two honorable mentions will receive $100 for textbooks.
