Senior golfer Curtis Reed helped the Cougars finish sixth Sunday afternoon after the final round at the 3M Augusta Invitational.
The No. 8 Cougars posted a team score of 295 on Sunday to finish at 866 on the 7,028-yard, par-72 course at Forest Hills Golf Club. It was only the second time during the 2013-14 season that the Cougars did not finish among the top 5 team leaders.
Reed moved into a tie for eighth and finished at 4-under-par 212. It was a season-best finish for Reed and the eighth top-10 showing of his career.
After playing the first 10 holes with only one bogey, Reed birdied No. 11 and No. 13 with a bogey on No. 23 before three straight pars. He then sank birdies on his final two holes to cap his tournament.
