Jon Bellion’s new track “Luxury” has the New York native singing and rapping alongside the sultry vocals of Audra Mae. Bellion has rightfully earned his place as one of the top emerging new artists, especially after the song-writer penned the hook for the smash hit “Monster” by Eminem and Rihanna.
Bellion is just one day away from dropping his third album, “The Definition,” and the multi-talented crooner has amassed an impressive amount of followers. In “Luxury,” Bellion pours out his concern of succumbing to the limelight, and overlooking his roots singing, “Will you pray with me/ that I don’t lose my soul to Luxury.”
Bellion said Kanye West’s music was a major influence in him dropping out of college and pursuing a full-time music career. Although it was a risky move, The Visionary Music Group member is poised to make a lot of noise in the near future. “Luxury” is a heartfelt and soulful song that tugs at emotions with every note, and is a great introduction to the work of Bellion. Check out this track and grab his LP when it releases online and in retail stores on Sept. 23.
